CONDOMINIUM/COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION PRACTICE GROUP
One of our primary areas of focus is representing condominiums and community associations (commonly referred to HOAs or homeowner’s associations) throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. We represent all sizes of condominium/community associations from two unit associations to 500-plus unit associations. The scope of representation includes the day-to-day legal needs of the association such as governing document review and interpretation to complex litigation (please see our Litigation Practice Group for additional litigation information).
Our representation in this practice area involves the representation and advising of managing boards, trustees, property management companies, and unit owners on all issues regarding the governance and operations of condominiums/community associations. Our advice is sometimes purely law-based, but frequently is a blend of law and a more practical approach based upon our years of experience. MSU’s attorneys are members of and active participants in the New England Chapter of the Community Associations Institute (CAINE).
